(More customer reviews)I was excited about this club set when I purchased it.I am a beginner and thought this would be a great starting point.I returned the clubs after 1 trip to the driving range.The head of the driver collapsed rendering it useless after about 5 shots.The other clubs were decent. I especially liked the hybrids.Only buy these if you are willing to replace the driver nearly immediately.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the prosimmon icon club set Oct.07 and although cosmetically they look fine and the grips and balance feel fine also, I am concerned about the durability of the set. The 5 iron shaft snapped off about 6 weeks ago, the driver head split at the top of the face, both have been replaced by prosimmon expediantly. Subsequently, the shaft on my 8 iron snapped off just last week like the 5 iron did, and am presently waiting for a response. I am concerned what will happen once my 1 year warranty expires.

(More customer reviews)This set seemed to be one of the most complete for a novice golfer and it is attractive, however the quality of the 1 driver was very poor. After only two trips to the driving range I noticed a dent in the top of the driver. After one more drive, the dent doubled in size. It looked like I had stomped on the top of it. I wasn't that unhappy with my performance! I have thrown out that driver and will continue to use the rest of the set as long as it lasts. I'm not ready for the high dollar clubs at this time, but this product is a "do not buy".

(More customer reviews)So for those of us 6' or taller, we have to get the +1" golf sets (according to the guy at the golf shop I went to). Problem is, that none of the cheap beginner's sets (<$200) are +1", the minimum I found in store was $330. $330 for a set that I will dent, ding and essentially destroy with my horrible swing? Especially since I wasn't even sure whether or not I'd golf on the regular. Why spend all that money? This is what I think is a phenomenal set and a great deal, I've recommended it to several friends. Guy at the golf shop was raving about how the set he was showing me included the pitching wedge and how rare that was for a cheap set to include that. this has both your sand and pitching wedge, putter, 2 woods a driver and what has become my favorite club, a hybrid.

Great value for us taller beginning golfers.

(More customer reviews)I'm a beginner and I didn't want to spend much so these fit the bill.The clubs are very nice for the price and although it's not listed in the description, the driver and woods come with covers. I've done a lot of reading and research and these are by far the best in that price range.Where can you get a full set of beginner clubs for $149.00 with free shipping?

They are heavy, hit very well and the bag is very nice.

Just be wary about where you purchase them.The place I purchased them from charges a 25% restocking fee if you return them. (Personally I find that disgusting)
